Mou gaan dou II is the second film in the popular Hong Kong action series, Mou gaan dou. This film serves as a prequel to the original Mou gaan dou and tells the story of Chan Wing Yan’s (Shawn Yue) expulsion from the police academy when his superiors learn that he has relatives in one of the most prominent drug triads in Hong Kong. Yan very upset due to his removal from training becomes close with special agent Wong (Anthony Wong Chau-Sang) who gives him a second chance if he will go undercover and infiltrate his half brother Hau (Francis Ng). Hau who blames Wong for his father’s slaying has also placed in a mole in the police department and vows revenge on Hong.
