It's a movie about the Bosnian war, suffering and the Bosnian mentality in general. In 1993, the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina is at its peak. By a weird fate two soldier from warring sides Ciki (Bosnian) and Nino (Serb) end up in no mans land (a territory between the war lines). Cikis friend is also in the "no mans land" lying on a mine like a booby trap. They try to help him, and a UN officer directly involves even though directed not to involve. Tens of vulture reporters feed on the misery, making the news an international incident. In a both tragic and comedian way the director describes the nonsense of war.
